Womanhood: What type of woman do you want to become? Talk NOTES
This is a talk I have given several times to different sororities and have gotten great feed back. Basically it is the opposite of the Manhood Talk I do on How to honor a Woman” under the manhood tab. You can see the same talk notes plus watch the talk under that tab. I ask the women what type of women do they want to become and then say that they can not become what they are not becoming. Also I share that King Solomon was known as one of the wisest men of all time and he wrote a book giving his sons advice called the book of Proverbs. I then compare and contrast chp. 7 (the women you do not want to be) with chp 31 (the women that most women want to become). It’s a great way to give advice and challenge them in what type of men are they spending their time with. Because those are the type of men they will end up with. THE KEY to the talk is to show that they can not date proverbs 7 types of men and end up with the proverb 31 type of man that is respected at the gates –otherwise respected in the community. I hope to video myself giving this talk in the Fall and Ill upload it here.
What type of woman do you want to become?
Proverbs 7:1Follow my advice, my son ; always treasure my commands.2Obey my commands and live ! Guard my instructions as you guard your own eyes. 3Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. 4Love wisdom like a sister; make insight a beloved member of your family.5Let them protect you from an affair with an immoral woman , from listening to the flattery of a promiscuous woman.
6While I was at the window of my house, looking through the curtain,7I saw some naive young men, and one in particular who lacked common sense.8He was crossing the street near the house of an immoral woman, strolling down the path by her house.9It was at twilight, in the evening, as deep darkness fell.10The woman approached him , seductively dressed and sly of heart.11She was the brash, rebellious type, never content to stay at home.12She is often in the streets and markets, soliciting at every corner.13She threw her arms around him and kissed him, and with a brazen look she said, ..15You’re the one I was looking for! I came out to find you, and here you are!16My bed is spread with beautiful blankets ..17I’ve perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.18Come, let’s drink our fill of love until morning. Let’s enjoy each other’s caresses,19for my husband is not home. He’s away on a long trip.20He has taken a wallet full of money with him and won’t return until later this month.” 21So she seduced him with her pretty speech and enticed him with her flattery.22He followed her at once, like an ox going to the slaughter.,23awaiting the arrow that would pierce its (Liver). He was like a bird flying into a snare, little knowing it would cost him his life. 24So listen to me, my sons, and pay attention to my words.25Don’t let your hearts stray away toward her. Don’t wander down her wayward path.26For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.27Her house is the road to the grave. Her bedroom is the den of death.
Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies.11Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life.12She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life..15She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. 16She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard.17She is energetic and strong, a hard worker.18She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. 20She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.21She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes. 23Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders… she laughs without fear of the future.26When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.27She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. 28Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her:29“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
Proverbs 11:32 A beautiful woman who lacks discretion
is like a gold ring in a pig’s snout.

Proverbs 6: 20 My son, observe the commandment of your father And do not forsake the teaching of your mother; 21 Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them around your neck. 22 When you walk about, they will guide you; When you sleep, they will watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you. 23 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light; 24 To keep you from the evil woman, From the smooth tongue of the adulteress. 25 Do not desire her beauty in your heart ,Nor let her capture you with her eyelids. 26 For on account of a harlot one is reduced to a loaf of bread, And an adulteress hunts for the precious life. 27 Can a man take fire in his bosom And his clothes not be burned? 28 Or can a man walk on hot coals And his feet not be scorched? 29 So is the one who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; Whoever touches her will not go unpunished. … 32 The one who commits adultery with a woman is lacking sense; He who would destroy himself does it. 33Wounds and disgrace he will find, And his reproach will not be blotted out.
Proverbs 19:13 and 27:15 A quarrelsome wife is as annoying
as constant dripping on a rainy day
Proverbs 21:9 and 25:24 It’s better to live alone in the corner of an attic (roof) than with a quarrelsome wife in a lovely home.

2 Samuel 11:1 In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.
2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, 3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” 4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. 5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”
6 So David sent this word to Joab: “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent him to David.
Psalm 32: When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.
5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you
and stopped trying to hide my guilt.
I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.”
And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
